Asia has the best airports in the world

Skytrax has unveiled its latest ranking of the best airports in the world. What comes as little surprise is that Asia has five of its hubs at the forefront of the list, with Changi International Airport in Singapore coming out on top for the sixth time in a row. Comfort, practical aspects, services and personnel were all part of the judging criteria.

Museums, Spas and Slides

For the sixth year in a row, the overall winner is Changi International Airport in Singapore. The winner of the 2018 study, based on votes cast by travellers, owes its top spot in no small part to its facilities. Changi International Airport has a slide, spas and cinemas, which its 62.2 million passengers each year can enjoy.

Just after Singapore airport comes Incheon outside Seoul, in South Korea, which has moved up a place since 2017 and includes a national museum of culture.

Airport Golf Courses

Tokyo Haneda Airport (Japan) rounds out the podium, having fallen one spot since the previous year. It is located close to the Japanese capital, making it very practical for the 80 million people who transited through it in 2016. Next in line is Hong Kong airport, which has a golf course, and Doha Hamad in Qatar, which stands out courtesy of its luxury and architectural style.
